Thanks again to everyone in the SLSR. Now, here goes:\r\n\r\nThe Probation Act\r\n\r\n1. When a user is found guilty or liable of an offence breaking the law, if the court sees fit, they can issue a probation order to the user as an alternative to a ban. \r\n\r\n2. The probation order will detail things the receiver of the order must do along with a conditional discharge, including maintaining of peace and good behavior, coming to court when summoned, and reporting every 4 days to a probation officer to ensure compliance with regulations. Other orders and/or restrictions may also be added on a case-by-case basis. \r\n\r\n3. The probation order will list a length of time for which one must comply with these orders, with a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 2 months.\r\n\r\n4. the Moderator Enforcement Team will act as probation officers for this purpose, and the receiver of the probation order will be in regular contact with one of them.\r\n\r\n5. If one fails to comply with the regulations set out in the probation order, they can be tried and given a ban of length determined by the courts.\r\n\r\n6. This act comes into effect upon passage.\r\n\r\n7. This act is open to amendment from Council.\r\n\r\n\\---\r\n\r\nThis one is slightly different, and I hope Council entertains it.
