When a bill or amendment is proposed to Council, the President, Vice President, or a Council Member may call for the bill or amendment to be put to referendum.\r\n\r\nb. If at least 4 Council Members (including the Council Member who called for it to be put to referendum, if a Council Member was the one to call for it to be put to referendum) agree to putting the bill or amendment to referendum, the Vice President shall tell the Referendum Minister to make a post on r/TeenGovernment which says that a referendum on the bill or amendment is being held and that those who wish to vote should DM the Referendum Minister their vote within 72 hours of the post’s creation. The Referendum Minister must make this post within 48 hours of the Vice President telling them to.\r\n\r\nArticle III: This referendum shall be run by the Referendum Minister, who voters shall DM their vote.\r\n\r\nArticle IV: This referendum shall last 72 hours and the results of the referendum must be given to the public within 48 hours of the ending of the referendum.\r\n\r\nArticle V:\r\n\r\na. If the referendum is on a bill and less than 1/3 of registered citizens vote in the referendum, the bill shall be voted on by the Council as normal.\r\n\r\nb. If the referendum is on an amendment and less than 1/2 of registered citizens vote in the referendum, the amendment shall be voted on by the Council as normal.\r\n\r\nc. If the referendum is on a bill and 1/3 or more of registered citizens vote in the referendum, if at least 50% + 1 of non-abstain votes are ayes, it shall pass, and if not it shall fail.\r\n\r\nd.
