Sidewalks shall be maintained in a safe and passable condition.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n**Section 2 - Public Benches**\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUrban roads shall provide a minimum of 10 public benches per mile of roadway (a mile is not explicitly defined here, it shall follow RP definition of a mile). Additional benches may be installed in areas of significant pedestrian activity, including markets, squares, transit stops, government buildings, and parks.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n**Section 3 - Public Drinking Fountains**\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUrban roads shall provide a minimum of 2 public drinking fountains per mile of roadway.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nEvery public park shall contain at least 1 public drinking fountain accessible to visitors.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n**Section 4 - Administration and Maintenance**\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAll sidewalks, benches, and drinking fountains established under this Act shall be maintained in a safe, sanitary, and functional condition.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe responsibility of their maintenance falls upon the mayors of their respective areas.
