{"id":82,"name":"Prohibition Of Voting Change Bill","summary":"Imported from Reddit - Status: Passed","raw_contents":"This bill is simple. It outlawed anyone changing their vote in an election for council, president, justice, etc. This is so that nobody is biased by the exit poll of the day and changes their vote.\n\nAlso it’s complicated when you are counting the votes. Does a changed vote count? Does it not count? Well, as of this bill’s passing, it would be illegal to change your vote in elections unless your ballot was filled out incorrectly (e.g. not putting voter code).\n\nIf an election changes (e.g. a candidate drops out of the race), a voter can change their vote ONLY if one or more of their previous choices were affected by it (let’s say username votes candidate 1, 2, and 3, but then candidate 2 drops out of the race, username can change their vote to candidate 4) and the only choice or choices they can change is the one affected by the change in the election.\n\nPrevious voting changes shall be forgiven and the changed votes shall be counted.\n\nThis bill will go into effect immediately apon passage","proposer":"YAML Import","isPassed":0,"isConsidered":0,"isEnforced":0,"notes":null,"isRepealed":0,"created_at":"2026-02-09 23:58:10","curratedText":null,"isRejected":null,"isUnsure":null,"ogUrl":"https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenGovernment/comments/1qsovpk/prohibition_of_voting_change_bill/","ogUser":"MinecraftGuy7401","apUrl":null,"apUser":null,"status":"Passed","ogCreatedUtc":1769921208,"billIdentifier":"20260201-0"}
